JOB CARVING

Job carving, or job creation, involves working with employers to create a job for a person with disability within their company. This can consist of creating a new role by identifying work tasks that might be taken from existing job roles or redesigning an existing job around the needs of a person with disability.

Job carving allows you to decide what tasks you complete, when you work and how much you work, which is negotiated with your employer. People can use their NDIS funding to have on-the-job support at work if they need it.

Not only do job carve roles fix a pain-point for a business, but there are a number of other benefits for employers. Businesses who employ people with disability benefit from creative, reliable and loyal employees. A diverse workforce better represents a company's customer base and improves their image. All employees benefit from an inclusive workplace culture that also increases workplace motivation.
